“I trust that my hard work will pay off”
Tyler Haws Reflection: I think this quote is really good. The reason is because it shows motivation. If you do hard work you will get what you put in. This can be seen with Tyler because he left basketball for a missionary. He decided God is more important than anything else. He left to serve the mission very confidently. I think he will get what he deserves if not more. This is something everyone else should consider because it can change people in a good way. This is an outstanding quote because a loved basketball player is setting an example to those who follow his steps and fans. It’ll show that not everything you want is that important. If you the right thing you will get what you want and more.

“True independence and freedom can only exist in doing what’s right”
Brigham Young Reflection: I think this quote is good. The reason is because it clearly states that you can only have true independence and freedom from doing the right things. An example of choosing the wrong and loosing freedom is coming to school late. When you come late you’ll receive detention. This can take some freedom because you’ll receive detention. Also when you don’t wear uniform. When you choose the right, you won’t have any freedom taken away from you. When you do drugs you lose freedom as well. This is because if you get caught, you’ll wend up in jail. In jail you have close to no freedom at all. This is why you should always choose the right. And keep your freedom and independence. “They’re only truly great who are truly good”
George Chapman Reflection: I think this quote is really great. We can infer that only truly good people are those who do well. People who CTR are not truly great. This can affect you because it can determine if you are truly great. You can be truly great by doing what is right. This is another reason why choosing the right is so important. I think that those who aren’t so kind and honest, will never be great. This is because being truly great takes 100% of choosing the right. You cannot be 50/50 or 80/20 because that is not being truly good. This shows that you do wrong. You would have to choose the right 100/0 to be a truly great person. Optician
Duties and Responsibilities: They will dispense and fit spectacles and more optical aids. They also advise patients with many types of lenses and spectacle frames, like style, weight and or color. Salary: $34,840 Education: High school diploma, on-the-job-training or apprenticeship, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in opticianry for career advancement and need a state licensure and or certification Demand: 24% (2014-2024) Reflection: I would not like to become one. The reason is because I don’t see myself as one. I think this job looks boring and wack. “Many think that he short term gain will be worth the long term pain, but it isn’t. In addition, using steroids is cheating, and there is nothing worse in sports than a cheater. Don’t do it.”
George Mitchell Reflection: I agree with this quote. I think cheaters are losers. They ruin the fun is sports. They also don’t give other people a fair competition. This is because people who cheat choose the easy way. Hey take the shortcut. This also make them a coward. The reason is because not only they don’t do it the right way, they can’t handle the right way. I will never take steroids or cheat because I will be disappointed at myself. I would not be able to look at myself as a good player. I would feel bad inside. Non-Medical / Health Volunteer Opportunities
There are many types of volunteer options in Los Angeles. They can range from health to non-health. Some examples of volunteer opportunities in Los Angeles are Homeboy Industries, LAMP Community, Los Angeles Rescue Mission, Downtown Women’s Center, The Giving Spirit, Reading to Kids, etc. These are many helpful ways you can volunteer and at the same time educate yourself. This can be useful to discover some of your passions and open your eyes to new things you might like doing. To join some all you have to do is go to volunteer.com and you can send your information to any organization you might want to help. “I won’t cheat”
Dale Murphy Reflection: He has a foundation that is for kids to learn to cheat. Some examples can be to not use drugs or steroids for better performance. Athletes use this technique to succeed in the easier way. This is wrong because your opponent won’t have a fair match. This can make you end up in jail. If you lie to the FBI like one athlete did, she also ended up in jail. This is because it is never allowed to choose the wrong. I would never cheat because I would not like it if someone cheated against me. His foundation is great because now there will be less people who will cheat. This can make a difference because now everyone can play fair. “Character matters most.”
Dale Murphy Reflection: I think this quote means that overall your character matters most. Some good character examples can be like honesty, integrity, etc. Some examples of bad character can be like cheating, lies, cussing, drinking alcohol, etc. An example of having good character and choosing the right is not drinking coffee or tea. This was an example given to us by Mr. Haymore. Having good character will surpass everything and make you happy. This is why cheaters are always sad with their A’s on their test when they cheat. I think that having good character will get you a lot of friends. This is because people like good character. That is what matters the most. St. Patrick’s Day
“Great beauty, great strength and great riches are really and truly of no great use; a right heart exceeds all.”
Benjamin Franklin Reflection: I think this quote is good. The reason is because I agree with what he says. Great heart will surpass everything else you have like good looks or being wealthy. He clearly states that point. You can see that people who CTR will have and live a happier life than compared to the richest man alive. This is because when you do right, the same positive energy will come back reflecting upon you. People who are filthy rich don’t always choose the right. They might use money for something like drugs rather than donating some to the needy. I think that people should help one another and we will all be happy. |
