“Dare to stand alone.”
Thomas S. Monson Reflection: You should not be afraid to stand alone. This will make you show others that you have self-respect. This does not mean to isolate your-self but stand alone when the crowd is doing something wrong. This will show that you can stand strong alone. You will also stay out of trouble. I would rather stay alone and eat alone in lunch rather than being with people who bully others. This will be beneficial because then I will not have to worry about getting in trouble. I’ll probably be the one that gets bullied but that’s okay. It’ll be okay because I will get beaten up but I will not be the one beating someone up. This is why I would rather be sitting down alone in the lunch quad.

Physical Therapist
Duties and Responsibilities: Help recovery for some patients who have been in an injury, illness, and or surgery. Help patients regain full movement and help manage pain. Salary: $84,020 Education: Doctoral or professional degree Demand: 34% (2014) Reflection: I would not like to become one. The reason is because I hate the medical field. I think it’s boring and I would never see myself in it. But this job does pay fairly well. “If I’ve got correct goals, and if I keep pursuing them the best way I know how, everything else falls into line. If I do the right thing right, I’m going to succeed.”
Dan Dierdorf Reflection: I think that this quote is really great. His If-Then formula is easy to follow and will give you a great outcome. If you follow his quote and do the right thing, then you will succeed. If you have good goals and pursue them, then they will come true. This can be easily done by just following what he says. I think that if you do the right thing, great fortune will return to you. Also, when you choose to be a great person, people will reflect that upon you and treat you the same way you treat them. Just doing the right thing will help you out so much. An example of this can be like helping out someone who fell down. They will pay you back with kindness whenever they see you needing help. They will treat you with respect and help you out. Automotive Engineer
Duties and Responsibilities: They work as a team for vehicle designing, manufacture and testing, and development of vehicles. They also are involved in the distribution, marketing, and sales and after-sales care of cars including racing cars, motorbikes and other commercial vehicles. Salary: $82,200 Education: Bachelors’ degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering and concentration if available. You also are recommended to have some sort of experience. Demand: It has increased by 8.01% and expected to grow 1.34% every year Reflection: I would not mind being this. I love to do anything involving cars. The pay is not bad and I like to work on cars and make them better. “The most important thing you will ever have is good values”
Dennis Prager Reflection: This quote is really good. It is short but has a big lesson. It clearly states the most important thing you will ever have. Good values can be like being honest, reliable, trustworthy, etc. These will help you in life because they will help you succeed. When you apply these values in your daily life, good things will come to you. Helping someone simply by opening a door for them, will make you a better person. Doing these values will set you up to be the best you can possibly be. Another example can be not to lie. When you lie, you set yourself in a deeper hole than what you were already in. “In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing.”
Theodore Roosevelt Reflection: I think this quote is good. It is a small quote but stated very clear. It just simply says how you should always do the right thing. Choosing the right should be made at ALL times. If you do, good fortune will come your way. An example can be like if you find money. You should not pocket that money if you know who’s it was. If you return the money great things will reflect on your actions. Choosing the right is something you should ALWAYS do. This is clearly the way to act. “Nothing is ever gained in doing what’s wrong.”
Wilford Woodruff Reflection: I think this quote is not all that accurate. If someone cheats off a test and never gets caught, he will be happy. He will PROBABLY feel bad but I doubt it. Many people cheat and never feel bad. This is because they got a good score and didn’t have to work hard for it. To them it is just an easy pass. When you get caught and loose privileges, that’s when nothing is gained. Choosing the wrong is not the way to go but that can be how some people learn from. Some might not even know they are choosing the wrong. “A promise must never be broken.”
Alexander Hamilton Reflection: I think this statement is great. It gives you a small quote but with a big impact. It simply states that you should always be a man of your word. If you say you will never do drugs, stick to your word. This can help with people trusting you. People who go against their word go nowhere. Keeping your word shows honesty. This is good because people can really see how independent you are. I’m personally going to keep my word of joining either the Marines or Air Force. To me this is my own BIG promise I will make come true. Orthopedic Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities: Someone who is trained in the diagnosis and preoperative, operative and postoperative treatment of diseases and injuries of the musculoskeletal system Salary: $519,000 Education: $-year Bachelor’s degree program in biology, pre-medicine or a related field, 4 years of medical school, followed by 4-5 years in orthopedic surgery residency in a hospital Reflection: I would not see myself as an orthopedic surgeon. Although they do make a lot of money, I don’t like the medical field and it takes way too long to become one. I don’t like studying so long because I feel as if I would lose interest. “My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re unpopular; you make them because they’re right”
Theodore Hesburgh Reflection: I think this quote is really good. The reason is because you have to really think about the quote. It clearly states that you make decisions because it is the right. If you choose a decision that is wrong, bad things will come your way. To prevent this, don’t let others pressure you to doing what is wrong. Do what’s in your heart and that is to choose the right. Some people don’t do this because it might not be popular. They are pressured to do things to impress friends and those things made to do cannot always be good. Some people might smoke pot to look cool in front of their friends. They are not happy with their decisions because it will not bring them joy. |
